- Dec 2017 Class Training Enrollment Form!


For the Oct - Dec 2017 session of classes click here to print the enrollment form. You must print one form for each dog for each class, fill it out and bring it with you to the "Meet & Greet" on Oct 20, 2017, the general meeting on Oct 24, 2017 or mail it to our post office before the Oct 24th meeting if you're unable to attend either function.

If paying by check, for accounting purposes, we are requiring a separate check for each class. This year we have increased the length of each session from 6 to 7 weeks. The total for club members is $60 and $78 for a BFDC escorted guest.

Please bring your RCSC member card or privilege card with you if you plan to register for classes along with a copy of your dog's rabies certificate.

If you are unable to attend either function: mail a copy of your RCSC member card or privilege card,  a copy of your dog's rabies certificate, your enrollment forms and separate checks to our P.O. box before the Oct 24, 2017 general meeting.

Learn how to use the three basic skills of training to get your pooch to perform!

Train your pooch to be a good citizen at home and out. 

Sit, down, wait at doors and vehicles, stay, move out of my way, come, beginning of walking on loose leash and acclimation to handling.

Rally training offers a unique opportunity to have fun with your dog while building a foundation of impressive skills.  Rally also improves our relationship with our dogs, making them great companions.

BEGINNING AGILITY      Sandie Comise, Instructor               No pre-requisite

Beginning agility is a fun activity for you and your dog.  You will learn to guide your dog over and through various obstacles such as tunnels, jumps, weave poles and more…

Thursdays from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM  Classes start November 2, 2017

INTERMEDIATE  AGILITY      Sandie Comise, Instructor    Pre-requisite: Must have completed Beginning Agility.

Intermediate agility builds on the foundation of skills learned in the beginning agility class. 

Thursdays from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM  Classes start November 2, 2017

Your dog must know sit, stay, come and down and have completed Beginning Agility.  A regular 4’ to 6’ leash is required (no retractable leashes). Please bring moist or cut-up treats ready to use (wear pants with pockets or have a treat bag or apron).

ADVANCED AGILITY      Sandie Comise, Instructor    Pre-requisite: Must have completed Intermediate Agility.

Advanced agility is for the seasoned agility student and dog.  Teams will work challenging, fun drill-type sequences while learning the art of turns, wraps, sends, back side jumps, go arounds, flips, front, blind and rear crosses, start line stays and independent weaves.  Distance handling (so we seniors don’t have to run so much) will be introduced, as well as the most efficient way to get to and from each obstacle. 

Thursdays from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM  Classes start November 2, 2017

Your dog must know sit, stay, come and down and have completed Intermediate Agility.  A regular 4’ to 6’ leash is required (no retractable leashes). Please bring moist or cut-up treats ready to use (wear pants with pockets or have a treat bag or apron).

Are you wanting more practice on equipment?  Better training on techniques?  Do you have the basics but need to sharpen up your skills?  Or just to play and run and jump and have fun with your dog?  Let’s get together and tune up your routine….

THERAPY DOG        Denise Hirth, Instructor                No pre-requisite

Therapy dogs provide comfort, happiness and healing to children and adults.  A wet nose and furry friend can brighten a person’s day.

Fridays from 2:00 to 3:00     Classes start November 3, 2017

Please bring moist or cut-up treats ready to use (wear pants with pockets or have a treat bag or apron) along with one of your dog’s favorite toys (that can be held under your arm).   A regular 4’ to 6’ leash is required (no retractable leashes).

CONTROL UNLEASHED     Scott Bagger, Instructor               No pre-requisite

Our 8 week class is geared toward over reactive and/or under focused dogs.

We teach handlers how to view the World from the dog’s point of view and use that knowledge to become a more focused team.   

Saturdays from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM     Classes start November 4, 2017

PUPPY MANNERS            Denise Hirth, Instructor                    No pre-requisite

Puppy class is your first step in your dog training journey!  The class focus is on bonding with your puppy and establishing pack order so that your puppy will always feel safe when with you.  The class will include some “play time,” “socialization with other dogs and handlers,” proper handler behavior when encountering other dogs or people, and other fun activities. An introduction to basic commands such as, sit, down, stay, leave it, wait at the door, watch me, walk on loose leash, and come when called will be covered.   Class is for dogs 10 weeks to six months.

Saturdays from 2:00 to 3:00     Classes start November 3, 2017

This class should require a 6 foot leash; a toy; a small blanket or towel; and treats.
