2012 Winter Class Training Schedule- Final


Prerequisite - Handler and dog must complete Beginning and Intermediate Obedience before advancing to other classes offered.  The skills obtained in these classes will be required for rally or agility since off lead work will be a necessity. Dogs must be at least 6 months old (Puppy class minimum 10 weeks old and less than 9 months) with proof of current rabies vaccine and Maricopa County or other state current license tag.  All handlers must have current RCSC Member Card and be a Best Friends Dog Club Member.

If you have previously taken classes and want to register for a class(es), click here to download and print the Winter 2012 Class Training Enrollment Form and Training Waiver.  Mail the completed form (two pages) to the address on the bottom of the form along with your check for the total amount of the classes to be taken.

AKC  S.T.A.R PUPPY TRAINING CLASS (Get your pup off to a good start   
SHARON HOWARTH, Instructor - AKC evaluator  -LIMIT OF 10 PER CLASS

MONDAY      January 23rd         11:30 - 12:30 PM     –  Puppy Training Class
  
Puppies shall be between 10 weeks and 9 months of age and have the two sets of required shots.  Owners must bring their current Rec Center Card and a copy of the vet bill showing the puppy has completed the shots prior to the first class.  Cost is $30.00 for six consecutive half hour classes and owners shall become members of Best Friends Dog Club for a fee of $5.00.  For more information call Marianna at 623.972.3123.

(Required: Buckle Collar and 4’ or 6’ leash… 20 – 30 very small soft treats
      Bring a mat for your dog to settle on)

CANINE GOOD CITIZEN TESTING WITH SHARON HOWARTH - LIMIT OF 20 TESTS
       
SATURDAY  January 14th   Testing Starts 1:00 PM    Canine Good Citizen testing 

Testing starts at 1:00 pm. you will be scheduled AFTER your pre-REGISTRATION and $10.00 check is received. EACH test will last about 15 minutes. Only 20 test spaces available (sign up early). Click here to download the Canine Good Citizen (C.G.C.) PRE-REGISTRATION form.

TRICK CLASS WITH SHARON HOWARTH - LIMIT OF 8 PER CLASS

                                                                                     (MUST HAVE BASIC SKILLS )

MONDAY     January 23rd      10:15 - 11:15 AM            Trick Class Advanced
                                                                                      (MUST PASS LEVEL 1)

Learn fun tricks with your dogs from shake, high five to find an object, dunk a basket ball into a hoop, combat crawl & much more. In order to take these classes, your dog must know sit, stay, down and come.
